Social Projects for Better Living Conditions in Nepal

In addition of the creation of fair trade and handmade products, himaal is committed to improving the living conditions in rural parts of Nepal. All our grassroots relief and social projects are direct, effective and well planned, because of the direct connection and the same cultural understanding of our staff to the people in need.
The projects in 2015 and 2016 are aimed at a sustainable earthquake relief in the Gurkha district, which is heavily affected by the earthquake on the 25th of April 2015. Moreover we are planning for 2016 a skill development training to support our artisans, their families, and their communities to ensure a long-term economic independency.
Have a look on our other projects, which we are currently working on.
After the earthquake on the 25th of April 2015 and delayed relief by the government, himaal took an immediate action by providing tarpaulins, tins and food such as rice, lentils, mustard oil, salt to Gaurichap and Lamagaun near to the epicenter. Without the grateful help from our donors, himaal would not have been able to act this fast to offer help.
